When I was a child, we had the option to enroll in home economics, recess and participated in the arts. We were groomed to be well rounded and led to believe we could survive on our own once we left the nest. GO FIGURE! Teaching basic survival instincts are a thing of the past. People are having major problems with hygiene, cooking, sewing, cleaning, child-rearing, educating….. and the list is growing by the minute.
Since surviving on your own these days seems like a monumental task, as a start, we’ve compiled a series of videos on sewing your own mask, making masks without sewing, building makeshift face coverings with nothing more than quick wit and other techniques to keep you safe.
There are two popular types of masks that are being assembled, the OLSEN SURGICAL MASK and the PLEATED SURGICAL MASK. Both are effective. The fit is what is most important. You must ensure the mask completely covers your nasal passage and mouth. No space should be between your face and the mask
