Coming off of the successful 10th Annual 365Black Awards – with its first-time national TV airing – McDonald’s is gearing up for yet another star-studded occasion with a new list of honorees and surprise musical performances. To hold center stage at the show, McDonald’s has enlisted the energetic actor/television correspondent Terrence J and the amazing actress, Tika Sumpter.
The McDonald’s 365Black Awards launched in 2003 as an extension of the company’s 365Black platform – which celebrates the pride, heritage, and achievements of African Americans year-round. Moreover, in honoring esteemed leaders in the community, McDonald’s looks to empower and inspire others to do the same.
The 2014 honorees will be added to a very special list; in 2013, McDonald’s honored the legendary musician and philanthropist Gladys Knight; supermodel Beverly Johnson; education leader Dr. Steve Perry; McDonald’s owner/operator Roland Parrish; executive vice president of the Chicago White Sox Kenny Williams; youth environmentalist Charles Orgbon III; and teen entrepreneur Leanna Archer.
