WHO’S OFFERING CURBSIDE FOOD DELIVERY IN WASHINGTON DC?

The general public is feeling separation anxiety. Why? Because they cannot get to their favorite foods. We are here to save the day, tell you who is offering the best curbside food delivery in Washington DC. For many large restaurant chains, they are using their creative attorneys to work around the the horrors of being shut down. For many small and local restaurants, carry-outs and moms and pops, this COVID-19 shutdown  may cause them to close their doors forever. We’ve compiled a list of some of DC’s food-preneurs that can deliver their tasty cuisine curbside.

When we thought about the robust list of owners offering curbside food delivery in Washington DC we did not know where to start so we consulted our most trusted advisor – our stomachs. We were disappointed that most of the restaurants offering curbside did not bother to let customers know on their websites. In most cases, they simply posted to Instagram

Pinkes Eats Salmon Caesar Salad

We found fresh fish, vegan, pasta, pizza, Cajun and the list goes on and on. You can order breakfast, lunch or dinner. Order for the weekend or date night. There is an elephant in the room… Not a REAL ELEPHANT, but a question.

IS IT SAFE TO ORDER FOOD? WILL I GET SICK?

In short, the experts say, “NO”. The virus has not been able to live on dead food or cooked food.

Read our article on the Coronavirus and food contamination HERE.  During this outbreak, you can learn how to shop for food safely. For you skeptics and conspiracy theorists, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) is the very best place for how to cope with EVERYTHING COVID.

Best practices and recommendations for ordering from food delivery services:

  1. PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING WITH THE DELIVERY DRIVER
  2. WEAR YOUR MASK AND GLOVES. You can make a homemade mask in less than 45 secs using our tutorial
  3. ONCE YOU ARE IN YOUR HOME, REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF THE GLOVES
  4. WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY
  5. OPEN THE CONTAINER
  6. WASH YOUR HANDS
  7. REMOVE THE FOOD FROM THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER
  8. THROW AWAY THE CONTAINER IMMEDIATELY
  9. WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY WITH SOAP AND WATER FOR AT LEAST 20 SECONDS

It sounds like a lot, but as a person who thinks everyone and everything is dirty, I do this normally. I have always made sure to disinfect containers before placing them in the refrigerator. If you examine the food preparation practices in most fast food restaurants, I think you would understand.
